Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is determined to fulfill his film commitments despite taking on a significant political role as Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister. After completing major portions of Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG, Pawan is now allocating substantial time to wrap up Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar.
According to sources, Pawan has allotted 25 continuous dates to fast-track the shoot of the film. “Initially, the story was inspired by the Tamil film Teri, but Harish Shankar has now crafted a completely new, massy narrative,” a source revealed.
Sreeleela is playing the female lead, with Sakshi Vaidya appearing in another significant role. The film is expected to thrill Pawan’s fans with Harish Shankar’s signature high-voltage writing. There was some speculation about replacing Sreeleela with Bhagyashri Borse, but the idea was eventually dropped.
The shooting of some scenes has already commenced at the Aluminium Factory, even without Pawan Kalyan’s presence. “They’ve started shooting other portions, and Pawan is expected to join from Saturday onwards,” the source added.
