Nalgonda Police returns stolen mobile phones to owners

Central Equipment Register (CEIR) helped the Nalgonda police track the stolen mobile phones and return them to their rightful owners on Thursday.

Nalgonda District Superintendent of Police K Apoorva handed over the 50 mobile phones to their rightful owners here. Speaking on the occasion, she advised the people to register the details of the stolen mobile phones on the CEIR website to help the police track them speedily. 

She further said that the police personnel in all police stations were imparted training on how to handle the website. An awareness campaign was launched to educate people in regard to the portal. The Telecommunication Department introduced the facility. The people can log in to www.ceir.cov.in and click on request for blocking and lost or stolen mobile links, she said. The complaint should give his name, identity card, e-mail id and his phone number for OTP, she said.
