While introducing resolutions at the BRS general body meeting held on Thursday at the Telangana Bhavan, BRS Working President KT Ramarao described Telangana as the only start-up state in India.
Recalling former US President John F Kennedy’s statement that infrastructure creation is the source of development, KTR said that there are no governments in India which know how to use the natural resources in the country.
“If KCR tightens his fist and says Ab ki bar kisan sarkar, the whole country will react in a big way. The successful meetings in Maharashtra are proof of that,” he said, saying that Telangana…white, blue, pink, yellow is progressing with 5 revolutions like this. Rs 4.5 lakh crore rupees has never been spent in agriculture and allied sectors alone across the nation but it happened in Telangana, he said.
The Centre which collects GST on milk should tell why the ports given to Adani have not done so, he asked. There is a need to sensitize youth about politics. “When we wake up early, every aspect, our lives are affected by politics. Human resources in India should be directed in a proper manner,” he said.
KTR said that some are speaking as borrowing is a wrong thing, however, one has to remember…borrowing is not for extravagant spending…borrowing increases reproduction and decreases the wealth of the country. The same is happening in Telangana. It’s an investment, not debt, he said.
“Our parents used to build a house at the end of their lives, but today’s IT generation is building a house after getting a loan. They are doing business while getting a loan. They are developing because they are assured that they will be able to repay the debt. If rulers at the Centre, especially governments like the BJP, follow this policy, the country would have crossed the 5 trillion mark sometime,” KTR said.
KTR said that countries with the most debts in the world…at the same time, the richest countries are also the USA and Japan. That is why, as our leader KCR said, a new economic policy is urgently needed. We are moving forward with the vision of our leader in the name of Vision for Naya Bharat. What the country needs now is not a double engine government…but a double impact government, KTR added.
