Need to settle litigations through mediation stressed

Principal Junior Judge K Swaroopa on Tuesday stressed the need to make effort for resolution of disputes through mediation. Instead of running around courts, the litigants should explore the possibilities settling the disputes through mediation.

The judge was speaking at a legal knowledge seminar. She said that the judiciary has been extending free legal aid to the poor. The poor, who have white ration card, can apply for free legal aid. She referred to Legal Service Authorities Act which enabled the provision of free legal aid to the poor. The Act is known as the ‘poor man’s Act,’ she pointed out.

Additional Junior Civil Judge Mounika asserted that the responsibility to prevent child abuse rested on everyone. She pointed to the increased incident of child abuse. She advised the people to strive for prevent of child abuse. She stressed that everyone should learn the rights of the children. She stressed the need to ensure safety of children in schools. Nagarkurnool Bar Association president Srinivas Gupta, advocates Rajasekhar, Harshvardhan Rao, Shyamprasada Rao, Tiupathaiah Mahdav Lakshman and Brahmeswar Rao and court staff, besides Upa Sarpanch Venkat Reddy were present.
