With the massive success of Yashoda(2022), superstar Samantha made it clear that she’s here to stay in Tollywood. Now she’s back again to prove her mettle as a star and actor with Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam.The trailer of the film has been receiving rave reviews for its visual effects, set pieces and the plot line. Mani Sharma is the music director and he enjoys a great reputation.
The makers released the Mallika Mallika video song from the much anticipated period drama on YouTube on March 31.“I watched the movie and it felt great. Since the moment I watched the film, I’ve been eager to release the song. I even conveyed the same to Gunasekhar Garu. Mallika Mallika is my favourite song from the film. It feels great to watch the video song and I’m happy to present it to the audience,” said the Yashoda actress.
Speaking of the film, the creator of Shaakuntalam, Gunasekhar said, “Mallika Mallika is special to some of the unit members. As much as we enjoyed recording the song, it felt equally good watching it on the screen. I believe this song is going to impress everyone when they watch it on the screen because it is visually appealing. Everyone who saw it said it was amazing and felt happy. On the 14th of this month, we will bring the movie Shaakunthalam to the pan-India audience.”
“Mallika Mallika is a song that is very popular among youth,” said Neelima Guna sharing how pleased she is with the song. “Ramya Behara sang wonderfully. Everyone who heard said it was good. Now the video song is getting a good response.This song will be even better in the movie. Samantha’s facial expressions coupled with other visual elements in the song will impress everyone.”
Written and directed by Gunasekhar, Shaakuntalam is presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations Banner. The film is being produced by Neelima Guna under Guna Team Works and is ready for a massive release on April 14. While Shekar V Joseph handled the camera, Prawin Pudi edited the film.
