Niranjan asks Raghunandan to apologise or face action

Must read

Declaring that BJP MLA M. Raghunandan Rao levelled false allegations against him due to political envy, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that his two daughters had purchased lands from the heirs of Suravaram Prathap Reddy and others as per law.

He demanded Raghunandan to apologise or face legal action. “I am not afraid of blackmail politics,” he said, making it clear that nobody will believe Raghunandan’s allegations.

“My daughters purchased the lands with their money. They were educated abroad and are working there,” he said.

Reacting to Raghunandan’s allegations that Niranjan purchased the lands first in the name of STs, he said that the entire people of Wanaparthy knew that he had raised an ST child named Gouda Naik who had lost his parents and had allowed him to stay in his (Niranjan’s) residence.

“Gouda Naik is a member of my family and he looks after our affairs,” Niranjan said.

He said that he had registered some land in the name of Gouda Naik as his daughters were unable to come to India for the registration due to the Corona pandemic. Later, the same land was registered in the name of his daughters by Gouda Naik, Niranjan said.

Niranjan said that he will move forward legally against Raghunandan for levelling false allegations.

He said that he does not have three farmhouses and made it clear that they were huts meant for domestic animals (Pashuvula Kottalu) and metal sheet-covered sheds constructed for workers. “If metal sheet-covered sheds are considered farmhouses that is proof of Raghunandan’s ignorance,” Niranjan said.

He said that the land in Velturu village belongs to his sister-in-law who is a doctor in London, and her friends have 11.20 acres. He said that it is wrong on the part of Raghunandan to say that they have 50 acres in Mojerla in Peddamandadi mandal.

Niranjan asked Raghunandan to conduct a survey with surveyors whenever he likes on the three agricultural plots at any time.

“We will give up the land if there is anything more than what I am claiming and I will resign or else Raghunandan must resign his post,” Niranjan said throwing a counter challenge.

“Linking the fire in the Tehsildar’s office to these lands is despicable. Records are kept not only at the mandal level but also at the district level and with the CCLA. Raghunandan doesn’t even have the minimum knowledge that if records are absent in one location they would be in kept another office,” he said.

Niranjan said that Congress leaders were behind Raghunandan’s allegations. The BJP and the Congress are not different. They are two pieces stitched from the same cloth. The people know that the agendas of the BJP and the Congress are same, he said.

Niranjan said that he had never committed anything wrong in his 40 years in the legal profession and in politics.
