Officials directed to expedite construction of govt buildings

District Collector Prasanna Venkatesh directed the officials concerned to take steps to expedite the construction works of the government buildings. The Collector here on Thursday reviewed various works of various projects with the officials concerned and made several suggestions.

The ‘Swachh Sarvekshan’ programmes should be implemented in 56 villages at the rate of 2 villages per mandal in the district through the ‘Jagananna Swachh Sankalpam’ programme in the villages and the Panchayat resolutions towards complete sanitation should be uploaded online within 24 hours, the Collector told the officials.

Collector Prasanna Venkatesh instructed the officials that the government’s priority building structures such as Rythu Bharosa Kendras, Village Secretariats, Village Health Clinics, and Digital Library buildings should be completed expeditiously.

Prasanna Venkatesh also ordered the officials to complete the construction of sheds of Solid Wealth Process Centres within the stipulated time frame. The officials concerned were directed to take steps towards increasing the number of working days under the MGNREGA scheme in the district.

Joint Collector P Arun Babu, ZP CEO K Ravi Kumar, RWS SE NVV Satyanarayana, DWMA PD D Rambabu, In-charge DPO Mallikarjuna Rao, Panchayat Raj SE Chandra Caskara Reddy, and others were present.

Earlier, CCLA Special Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad, State Panchayat Raj, and Rural Development Commissioner Kona Sashidhar held a video with the Collector on the implementation of various welfare and carrying out development works.

On the occasion, CCLA Special Chief Secretary G Sai prasad reviewed the issues of re- survey, YSR Jagananna permanent land rights, and land protection scheme in a video conference. Later, State Panchayat Raj, Rural Development Commissioner Kona Sashidhar reviewed the issues of Swachha Sankalpam, employment guarantee scheme, government priority buildings, ODF plus villages, and other issues.
