Jagan hoodwinking people: Naidu

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is hoodwinking the people of the state by pressing a button that is not useful to the people.

Addressing a mammoth crowd at a roadshow at Ponnuru on Thursday as part of the TDP “Idemi Kharma Mana Rashtraniki, he deplored that the government is not in a position to disburse staff salaries and pensions to the retired employees.

“The YSRCP regime has ruined the capital city Amaravati. It has also failed to complete the Polavaram project which was completed 72 percent during the TDP regime,” he said and claimed that the Polavaram project is his brain child.

Ridiculing Chief Minister Jagan Reddy as ‘iron leg chief minister’, he said that in the name of ‘reverse tendering’ the Polavaram project works had come to a halt. Irrigation minister Ambati Rambabu is unable to tell the present status of the Polavaram project, he alleged. The project works were merged in the Godavari waters by the government because of its ineptness, he slammed.

“Chief Minister Jagan Reddy has given important posts to the Reddy community people and assured to do justice to the BCs,” he pointed out. The Chief Minister is giving Rs 10 to the people and snatching Rs 10,000 from them, he flayed. In the name of welfare, he is creating a crisis, Naidu lambasted.

They had earlier organised ‘Badude-Badudu’ programmes and now they were organising ‘Idemi Kharma’, programmes to highlight the misdeeds of the YSRCP led government, he stated.

Naidu said that the public attended Jagan’s meeting on Wednesday only due to the fear that the welfare programmes would be discontinued and not willingly. The situation is totally different with regard to the TDP meetings, he said, adding that the people come to his meetings voluntarily.

Chandrababu Naidu said that the State no longer needs rule of ‘psychos’ and it needs the regime of the ‘Cycle’. “Dhulipala Narendra Kumar has won the election from this Assembly constituency seven times but illegal cases have been filed against him,” Naidu alleged.
