Officials directed to expedite construction of houses

Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy has directed Collector Nishant Kumar and other officials to expedite the process of constructing houses at the Jagananna colonies.
The Chief Secretary held a video conference with the Collector and other officials on Thursday. He told the Collector and other officials concerned to take steps to speed up the construction of houses in the Jagananna colonies and complete them by the prescribed time. The Chief Secretary also ordered them to take steps to purchase paddy from the farmers without being cumbersome.
Speaking during the video conference, Special Principal Secretary of the Housing Department Ajay Jain said that Parvatipuram Manyam district continues to be at the top in providing houses to the houseless poor in the state and exhorted the officials to continue the same spirit.
He said that under the Prime Minister’s Jan Man (Jan Jati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) scheme, houses would be allotted to PVTG (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups). He told the officials to identify the homeless poor and submit the proposals from December 15.
Collector Nishant Kumar, Joint Collector R Govinda Rao, DRO J Venkata Rao, KRRC NDC G Keshava Naidu, DMHO B Jagannatha Rao and RWS engineering officer O Prabhakar Rao were among those who were present.
