Officials told to ensure continuous power supply

In view of the current rains, G Raghuma Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of Southern Telangana Power Distribution Company, reviewed the power supply situation through video conference with the Chief General Manager and Superintending Engineers of the company. Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) Chairman & Managing Director Annamaneni Gopal Rao has convened an emergency video conference with superintending engineers of 16 Operation Circles under NPDCL jurisdiction due to heavy rains in the state.

CMD Annamaneni asked officials to be more careful and vigilant in the areas around Godavari river shores like Bhadrachalam, Bhupalapalli and Manthani. “Power supply should be provided without interruptions. In case of interruptions, alternative power supply should be provided. The CMD urged that everyone should work with commitment to provide uninterrupted power supply to consumers. Department vehicles should be kept ready to transport damaged transformers. To keep the rolling stock ready and to increase repairs of transformers in SPM sheds. Information of damages and any mishap should be informed to the control room of the corporate office, and also to coordinate with the district officials and various other departments while at work”. The CMD requested consumers to call toll free number 1800 4250028 or 1912 regarding electricity related issues and complaints.

Raghuma Reddy said that special control rooms have been set up in every district/circle office till the end of rainy season. He said that orders have been issued to the superintending engineers and chief general managers to continuously observe the changes in the environment and issue orders to the field staff from time to time and ensure that appropriate staff are always available.
