Officials told to speed up housing works

District Collector Vijaya Krishnan has directed the officials concerned to take steps to expedite the construction of houses in Jagananna layouts.

On Saturday, the district Collector made a surprise inspection of the housing construction layout in Degaramudi villages of Martur mandal. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector directed the officials to take steps to complete the construction of 26 houses constructions at the colony at the earliest.

She said that the beneficiaries who were not in DWACRA groups should be included in the groups. The Collector advised the officials to provide bank loans to all those who are eligible for the construction of houses. She instructed the electricity officials to provide electricity to the colony for three days. She interacted with the beneficiaries and knew their problems. The beneficiaries told her that the officials were extending all needed help to them in constructing houses.

Later the Collector laid the foundation stone for the construction of the house of a woman Peramma in the colony, The woman was sanctioned a house under the PMAY scheme. Housing construction project director Prasad, DE Murali, MPDO Nitin, and Tahsildar Venkatarami Reddy, and others were present.
