Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development K. Pawan Kalyan visited the Secretariat for the first time since taking his oath on Tuesday.
Pawan Kalyan received a grand reception from a large number of farmers along the Seed Access road. They greeted him with a giant garland and showered him with flowers. Residents of the capital region villages lined the road, enthusiastically welcoming the minister.
Travelling through Karakatta road, Pawan Kalyan reached Venkatapalem village, where farmers again greeted him with flowers and garlands. The farmers expressed their gratitude to Pawan Kalyan for his support during their protests against the proposed shift of the capital city from Amaravati. In Mandadam village, he was garlanded and presented with a replica of a plough. Jana Sena Minister Nadendla Manohar and Kandula Durgesh accompanied him.
Upon arriving at the Secretariat, Pawan Kalyan was warmly received by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu embraced Pawan Kalyan and escorted him into the CM’s chamber.
The two leaders discussed various issues for about one and a half hours. According to Jana Sena sources, Pawan Kalyan will officially assume his role as Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister on June 19 at the Secretariat
