The students of PB Siddhartha Science and Arts College have won prizes at the 36th Interuniversity South Zone Youth Festival organised at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam in Tirupati. The youth festival was held from January 3 to 7.
PB Siddhartha College principal Dr. Meka Ramesh said that the students of PB Siddhartha College won first prize in Classical Vocal Solo, second prize in Classical Instrument Solo Percussion, second prize in Light Vocal, first prize in Group Song Indian, third prize in Fold Orchestra and second prize in Rangoli and first prize in Mehendi competitions.
He said that the PB Siddartha college students excelled in the intercollegiate youth festival organised by Krishna University by winning the overall championship. The students who won prizes in the South Zone youth festival would participate in the national-level interuniversity festival to be organised in February by Jain University in Bangalore, Collector director Vemuri Babu Rao said.
Siddartha academy president Dr.Chadalavada Nageswara Rao, Dr.Paladugu Lakshmana Rao, convenor Sureddy Venkateswara Rao and Prof. Rajesh Jampala congratulated the students for winning prizes.
