Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president and former MLC Gidugu Rudra Raju has launched efforts to strengthen the party in the State. He is holding review meetings with party workers with an aim to strengthen the party in villages. As part of this, he gave charge of parliamentary constituencies to the party working presidents.
He issued a circular to all PCC working presidents asking them to coordinate with the leaders.
PCC chief Rudra Raju will be monitoring the Vijayawada, Machilipatnam and Guntur constituencies and various organisations, departments and party-affiliated cells, apart from discharging his duty.
Also, he allotted Narasaraopet, Bapatla, Ongole, Nellore, Nandyal and Kurnool Parliamentary constituencies to former MLA and working president Shaik Mastan Vali. Hindupur, Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor, Rajampet and Tirupati will be the responsibility of Janga Goutham while Sunkara Padmasree will take care of Eluru, Narasapuram, Rajamahendravaram, Amalapuram and Kakinada.
Similarly, Anakapalli, Araku, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam Parliamentary constituencies were allocated to P Rakesh Reddy.
