Former minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) has expressed strong disapproval of the recent comments made by Pawan Kalyan regarding the State government and the volunteer system. Nani stated that both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan are concerned about the volunteer system and the welfare schemes implemented by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. He said that if CM Jagan is referred to disrespectfully, they will reciprocate in the same manner.
During a press conference held on Monday, Nani highlighted that CBN and PK are apprehensive about the volunteer system due to their jealousy towards Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s successful welfare initiatives. He acknowledged the exceptional services provided by the volunteers to the underprivileged and commended CM Jagan for earning a commendable reputation through the volunteer system.
Nani challenged PK’s claim of truthfulness, questioning his inability to acknowledge the valuable contributions made by the volunteers. He further dared PK to include in their party’s manifesto the abolishment of the volunteer system if he truly opposed it. Nani expressed disappointment with PK’s derogatory remarks about female volunteers, emphasizing that such comments were unwarranted.
Nani criticised PK for resorting to low-level tactics for political gain, accusing him of echoing the sentiments of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. He accused PK of making baseless calculations without supporting evidence, claiming that both CBN and PK were intimidated by the volunteer system and the functioning of the secretariat. Nani stated that PK’s statements during public meetings were strategically designed to benefit Chandrababu Naidu.
Furthermore, Nani challenged CBN and PK to demonstrate the courage to dismantle the volunteer system if the TDP were to come to power. nistic politics, labeling both CBN and PK as unfit politicians. He condemned PK’s inappropriate comments about the volunteers, suggesting that he was merely trying to gain favor with Chandrababu Naidu. Nani urged PK to retract his remarks and acknowledge the hard work and self-respect of the volunteers who tirelessly serve the needy.
Additionally, Nani questioned PK’s focus on the previous TDP government’s actions, asking whether he was aware of the situation at Kolleru Lake. He asserted that under CM Jagan’s leadership, there are no drought zones in Andhra Pradesh, unlike during the previous TDP government’s tenure. Nani criticized PK for making unfounded and intentional comments against the current government.
