The media industry honoured journalists at the 4th Edition of the Hybiz TV Media Awards (HMA), which took place at the HICC-Novotel in HITEC City, with a spectacular celebration.
Shikha Duggal, the Assistant Chief Editor of The Pioneer, won the award for “Best Story by a Woman Journalist” among the other categories. Minister of Irrigation & CAD, Food & Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy gave her the honour.
Shikha had submitted her all-inclusive interview with Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan, the IXth Nizam of the Asaf Jahi Dynasty, in order to be considered for the award. The conversation covered a wide range of topics, including his early years in Hyderabad, uniting cultures, living as the head of the family for a Nizam today and many more personal anecdotes.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy emphasised the government’s steadfast support for the media during the function, highlighting the media’s critical role as the cornerstone of democracy.
He expressed his gratitude to the media for their noteworthy contributions at the Hybiz TV Media Awards, which honoured achievements in print, broadcast and digital media.
The event was attended by a number of dignitaries, including the chairman of the BC Commission, Vakula bharam Krishna Mohan Rao; M Ravindar Reddy, the director of marketing for Bharathi Cement; V Rajashekhar Reddy, the president of Credai Hyderabad; Gedela Srinu Babu, the CEO of Pulsus Group; Manepalli Rama Rao; Eenadu I. Venkat; KRP Reddy; Hybiz TV & Telugu Now Founder MD Raj Gopal; CEO Dr J Sandhyarani and others.
