The Commissioner also inspected the Kokapet Neopolis Layout and reviewed the development activities. During the inspection, he examined various land parcels within the layout, including those allotted or auctioned. He addressed issues with Road No. 4 of the layout, which could not be completed due to the existing Sabita Nagar settlement. He instructed the preparation of a draft map and proposal for straightening the road and enquired about the status of relocating the settlement.
The development of the Trumpet Interchange was also reviewed, including the balance works and hindrances due to existing overhead lines. He instructed the officials to enhance greenery within the Right of Way (ROW) of roads and open spaces in Neopolis and Goldenmile Layouts. He emphasised completing pending works and making the areas ready for inauguration as soon as possible.
During the visit, the Commissioner discussed restoration and development activities around the lake, such as the construction of walking and cycling tracks, plantation, and other facilities under the CSR scheme with Raheja IT Company. He enquired about the nalas upstream and downstream of the lakes, patrolling police outposts, CCTV cameras, and other protection measures. He also discussed tourism and sailing club activities and the estimated sewage water generated in the lake’s catchment area. He stressed the need for proper sewage diversion and maintenance of existing STP capacities.
Concerns were raised about the dying fish in the lake. The Commissioner instructed officials to identify the causes in coordination with the Fisheries department and take steps to prevent untreated sewage from entering the lake. He also inspected the proposed park location at Durgam Cheruvu, suggesting eco-friendly development without harming the natural habitat. A theme park over 33 acres at Durgam Cheruvu was proposed in consultation with TGIIC.
The Metropolitan Commissioner inspected HMDA parks, lands, and development works in Raidurgam, Kokapet, and Kothwalguda of Rangareddy district. He visited the Goldenmile and Neopolis projects, reviewed the progress, and instructed engineers to complete the park work on time.
