In a spirited display of commitment to progress, Vizianagaram reverberated with the echoes of the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on Saturday.
L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying, and Fisheries, was present on the occasion with a message of renewed zeal for development, reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s determination to make India a developed nation by 2047. He emphasised the key role of robust infrastructure in India’s journey towards developed nation status. He lauded Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in prioritising infrastructure development across sectors, setting the nation on a path of self-sufficiency in essential goods production.
The Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra stands as a beacon of comprehensive awareness and access to the Government’s various welfare schemes. Dr. Murugan elaborated on initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and others, underscoring the mission to ensure 100% benefit saturation for all eligible beneficiaries.
Joint Collector Mayur Ashok provided a promising update on the Yatra’s progress, stating that over 475 of the targeted 775 villages have been covered since its launch on November 22. He also highlighted the success of schemes like Ujjwala Gas Yojana, with lakhs of beneficiaries already registered in the district, and the ongoing distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards.
The event resonated with a collective pledge for progress. MPP representative Uppada Suryanarayana and other dignitaries joined villagers in taking the Sankalp, solidifying their resolve to contribute to India’s development mission. The Yatra provided a platform for unveiling documents related to key central government schemes, facilitating direct interactions with beneficiaries, and showcasing inspiring testimonials of those who have reaped the benefits of various initiatives.

He visited key departments including Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Health, witnessing firsthand the ongoing efforts to deliver benefits to the people. Distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards, Ujjwala Gas connections, and nutritional kits under the Nikshaya Bharat Scheme added another layer of tangible impact to the day’s proceedings. With RDO MV Suryakala, officials from various departments, local public representatives, and BJP leaders actively participating, the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra infused Vijayanagar with a powerful surge of hope and dedication towards building a brighter future for India.
