Police shift 25 beggars to a rescue home

The police and women and child welfare departments have shifted 25 people to rescue homes on Tuesday after the orders of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in the Budget sessions.
Deputy CM Vikramarka asked the departments to control the inhumane situations at road signals. When the red signal falls, women are begging with babies in their hands. Infants are sleeping and exposing themselves to sun and pollution. So the Deputy CM ordered the officials to rescue them.
The Deputy CM informed the officials that it has come to his notice that some inter-State gangs are making an easy living by using babies for begging. He informed the officials that some inter-State gangs use children to make an easy living by begging.
Some people were giving intoxicants to children and women. Earlier, NGOs and child rights activists brought begging racket issues to his notice. He ordered the officials to shift them to rescue centres and take care not to go to that side again.

After having moved them to the rescue centres, officials informed the Deputy CM that these relief activities will continue.
