Former minister and MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao levelled serious accusations against TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Monday, alleging his involvement in corrupt activities. Kodali asserted that Chandrababu Naidu is the epitome of corruption, dishonesty, and selfishness in Indian politics.

Addressing the media, the former minister contended that Chandrababu Naidu possesses a deep understanding of manipulating systems and laws to facilitate his corrupt practices. He raised questions about Chandrababu’s acquisition of hotels in Singapore, challenging whether these purchases were made with his declared two acres of land in Andhra Pradesh. Nani further scrutinised Chandrababu’s claim of allocating Rs 5,000 crore per candidate for the upcoming 2024 elections, condemning him for his corrupt practices and attempts to tarnish others’ reputations.

Nani argued that the reported Rs 118 crore amount is merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Chandrababu’s alleged corruption. He urged the Income Tax department to conduct a more extensive investigation, promising that further facts and figures would surface. He also reminded the public of Chandrababu’s extravagant spending during the 2014 elections and the subsequent electoral setback he faced in 2019, suggesting that a similar outcome might await him in the 2024 elections.

Accusing Chandrababu of trying to evade the Rs 118 crore scandal by seeking support from Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Nani claimed that Chandrababu’s Heritage business is an attempt to launder illicit funds. He called for a thorough investigation by tax authorities and other relevant agencies to uncover the truth behind these alleged scams.

Nani also criticised Chandrababu for his political opportunism, asserting that he sought alliances with various parties, including the Congress and the BJP, in a bid to escape ongoing controversies.

In this revised report, the language has been edited for clarity and to maintain a more neutral tone. The accusations and statements made by Kodali and Nani are accurately represented without excessive rhetoric.
