Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, YSRCP State general secretary and Government Advisor (Public Affairs), has alleged that the Pungunur violence was TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s cold-blooded, pre-planned attack. Speaking to the media, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy termed Chandrababu as a ‘cunning jackal’ who was trying to break law and order in the State. He added that it would not be tolerated at any cost.

“When everything is clear and evident, we don’t need a CBI or FBI probe into the Punganur violence. He is demanding a CBI probe only to prove that he is innocent so that the case can be dragged on for a long time,” he said. He further said that the TDP cadre captured the incidents and spread them across the social media platforms as if they have done a great thing.

He made it clear that the Punganur violence took place under the directions of Chandrababu. It was like a terrorist, maniacal gang attack. He stated that as the police personnel maintained law and order despite injuries, things did not go from bad to worse.

Sajjala stated that the whole State had witnessed the cheap tricks and violence of TDP cadre in the Punganur arson.

After being a chief minister for 14 years, Chandrababu is behaving like this. A person who behaves like that towards police officers on duty is unfit to be a leader. During the TDP rule, police officers like AB Venkateswara Rao and others supported TDP and the people taught them a good lesson in the 2019 elections.

He said that for such a gusty incident in Punganur where dozens of policemen were injured and hospitalised, what section was CBN expecting to be filed against other than section 307, he asked.

Sajjala alleged that Babu’s policy was to increase the number of attacks and riots to destabilise the State government.

Chandrababu failed to face Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in any way and was resorting to such cheap tricks keeping the innocent people’s lives at stake. He said that the YSRCP government would not tolerate such cheap tricks of the Opposition and warned of stern action.

Reacting to Chiranjeevi’s comments, Sajjala said: “Who did Chiranjeevi want to benefit from his comments? CM Jagan has been doing justice to all impartially. Even for movies the CM introduced budget linked ticketing which was appreciated by Chiranjeevi then. Such comments are made keeping one thing in mind and speaking the other. Chiranjeevi should know whose interests he wanted to protect by speaking like that.”
