Government Advisor (Public Affairs) and YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has alleged that BJP AP unit president Daggupathi Purandeswari is playing the dual role as president of both the BJP and the TDP. He said that the TDP leaders were hell bent on a false campaign against the arrest of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. He asked the Opposition to prove that corruption had not happened.
Addressing media persons at the party office on Wednesday, Sajjala said that Purandeswari was shuttling to national capital New Delhi only to get his brother-in-law and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu released. He added that there was nothing wrong in trying to release Chandrababu as family because she did it in the past while in the Congress.
The entire NTR family did not hesitate to go against their father to help Chandrababu.
Sajjala further said that now and then the whole bunch of backstabbers was with Chandrababu.
They are also telling the BJP biggies that the TDP will help in future if necessary. Purandheshwari knows how the liquor policy was during the previous TDP government. Licences and brands given by Chandrababu are still running in the market and she should note that consumption has decreased and income has increased,” he added.
The Government Advisor said that the TDP leaders should explain if the corruption had happened or not. Chandrababu was remanded in Rajahmundry Central Prison after his involvement was proven in the Skill Development scam. However, the TDP leaders and followers are stooping low to portray that Chandrababu was not involved in the scam. Sajjala pointed out that the TDP’s and Chandrababu’s advocates are more concerned about the procedure of arrest rather than his involvement in the scam. Sajjala further said that the advocates were trying to quash the case and ensure that the case did not come for trial. He challenged the TDP leaders for an open debate on the Rs 371-Skill Development scam.
He said that so far, 10 people had filed cases against Chandrababu’s assets beyond his income. The TDP chief has a habit of overcoming cases by showing technical reasons. IT has given notices that Chandrababu has received Rs120 crore from L&T and Shapoorji Pallonji for giving TIDCO house construction contract. Chandrababu was good at managing systems in the past so he managed everything. Even now, the same efforts are being made. Along with these cases, Fiber Net, TIDCO Housing and Inner Ring Road scams are also under investigation, said Sajjala.
