Telangana IT Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithiworking president KTRama Raohas remarked that Telangana Pradesh Congress Committeechief Revanth Reddy, previously caught red-handedin the ‘note for vote’ case, “is now selling seats for notes” ahead of the Assembly elections. Revanth was using the elections as an ATM so much so that the TPCC chief was being asked ‘ratentha’.
KTR made the foregoing comments while addressing people of Devarakonda at a meeting in Telangana Bhavan, where senior Congress leader Bilya Naik and other Congress leaders from the Devarakonda constituency joined the BRS party on Wednesday.
KTR said that the Congress party was cheating people with fake surveys. Criticising Congress, KTR said that the party had failed to serve people despite being given 11 chances. There were severe power supply problems during the Congress regime, affecting the farming sector.
“On the BRS side, there are schemes; and, on the Congress side, there are scams, and people should choose wisely,” KTR observed.
“Opposition parties are intellectually bankrupt,” KTR said. The opposition parties had no issues to fight in the State.KTR said that BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah should apologize to the people of Telangana for making false statements about farmer suicides in the State. He recalled that the Union government had made a statement in Parliament that Telangana recorded the lowest farmer suicide rate in the country.
The BRS working president said that the BJP had failed to set up a Tribal University in Telangana. In fact, the BJP did not allocate a single educational institution to Telangana in the last nine years. KTR said that Telangana had become the only State in India to have a medical college in each district under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
KTR mentioned that KCR had played a key role in the upliftof tribal communities in Telangana. He stated that BRS had created separate gram panchayats, increased the reservation for STsfrom 6% to 10%, and resolved the fluorosis problem which had haunted people for decades. KTR said that of late tribal communities in Devarakonda hamlets were drinking water which was as clean and pure as that being supplied in the Jubilee Hills area in Hyderabad.
KTR appealed to people to vote for BRS in the upcoming elections and take forward the development story of Telangana State under the able leadership of KCR.
