Senior IPS officer A Ravi Shankar (1994), who currently serves as the Additional Director General of Vigilance and enforcement and Ex Officio Principal Secretary to the Government in the GA (V&E) Department, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Visakhapatnam City.
This transfer comes as a replacement for CM Thrivikram Varma (2005). A total of 11 IPS officers were reassigned on Tuesday, as per the directives of Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy through GO No 1778.
Following this reshuffle, CM Thrivikrama Varma has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police for the Special Protection Force. Kumar Vishwajeet (1994), who presently holds the position of Additional Director General of Police for Railways, will assume the role of Additional Director General of Vigilance and enforcement and Ex Officio Principal Secretary in the GA (V&E) Department.
Siddharth Kaushal (2012), the Superintendent of Police for Octopus, has been reassigned as the Superintendent of Police for YSR District, taking over from Anburajan KKN (2011), who has also been transferred.
Anburajan KKN (2011) will now serve as the Superintendent of Police for Ananthapuramu District, replacing K. Srinivasa Rao (SPS), who has been reassigned as the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Law and order in Visakhapatnam, succeeding Vasana Vidhya Sagar Naidu (2016).
Vasana Vidhya Sagar Naidu (2016) will assume the role of Superintendent of Police for Greyhounds. Krishna Rao Boddepalli (2014), who currently serves as the Superintendent of Police for ACB, has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Police for Annamayya District, taking over from R. Gangadhar Rao (SPS), who has also been reassigned.
R. Gangadhar Rao (SPS) is now posted as the Commandant for the 14th Battalion in Anantapuramu, succeeding Jagadeesh P (2017), who has been transferred. Adnan Nayeem Asmi (2013), the Group Commander for Greyhounds, will now serve as the Superintendent of Police for the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Lastly, Jagadeesh P (2017) will assume the role of Superintendent of Police for East Godavari district.
