RBSK officer calls on maimed ANM

Dr. Ch. Manasa, District Programme Officer of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Programme (RBSK) visited ANM Pulapalli Durga Prashanthi who lost both her legs when a lorry ran over her on Saturday.

Durga Prashanthi was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Koyyalagudem. Manasa infused her courage. She is working as ANM in the Bodigudem village secretariat of Koyyalagudem mandal. As both legs were completely damaged, they were amputated in the hospital. Manasa assured the victim to provide artificial legs and she could continue in her job.

Later, Dr CH Manasa visited ZP Boys High School in Koyyalagudem. On this occasion, the class 10 students were made aware of various subjects by inquiring about the education being provided to them in the classroom. Inquiring about the absence of some students from school, the teachers were also advised to talk about their health conditions.

Later, Dr. Manasa visited the SC girls’ hostel and inspected the sanitation, drinking water supply, and menu implementation. Next, she visited an ST girls’ hostel. Dissatisfaction was expressed with the sanitation and menu implementation in the hostel. She suggested that sanitation should be improved immediately.
