REPORTERS’ DIARY Bro has tough time ahead

Must read

People who had put their lifetime’s savings into homes they bought in illegal structures currently on the block in buffer zones of lakes are now pulling their hair out over HYDRAA ops. That may be obviously because it could be their only home. What about those who buy and sell homes as an investment option? Even they are under deep waters, though the impact varies. In the corridors of power, the chatter over the Amar Society’s alleged encroachment on Durgam Cheruvu Lake has taken an unexpected turn. Among those in the limelight (for the wrong reasons) is Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s brother, Tirupati Reddy, who can perhaps save neither his skin nor his house, given his brother’s Arjuna-like determination to go strictly by the rules. That is not all. There is another house on the block and that belongs to Dubbaka MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy. It is adjacent to Tirupati’s house. This house was ‘almost sold’ to none other than BRS leader Harish Rao. The deal did not come through due to delay. When reporters asked Harish Rao about it, he candidly admitted: “Thank God, it didn’t progress”.
