The bonds between Kalvakuntla siblings and BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and K Kavitha, highlighted by the former’s touching post on Rakshabandhan and the latter’s recent emotional reunion with family amid fanfare, are also creating a buzz in political circles for striking similarities with the bonds of Gandhi family siblings Rahul and Priyanka. Just as Sonia Gandhi had played a pivotal role behind the scenes to guide her children to the forefront of national politics, nearer home BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to have put KTR and Kavitha on a similar trajectory in Telangana, while remaining in the background. Some ‘political coincidences’ did not go unnoticed. Following the release of Sonia Gandhi’s picture with her pet dog, KTR too was seen with his own pooch in a similar snap. Taking a leaf from Rahul Gandhi’s video campaign, KTR came out with a video addressing the Valmiki scam. Like the Gandhi siblings, the Kalvakuntla ones find myriad ways of being in the limelight among Telangana prajalu. What if the winds are blowing against them in Praja palana?
