Review: Kushi: A perfect comeback for Vijay Deverakonda

Must read

Viplav (Vijay Deverakonda) is the son of atheist Lenin Satyam (Sachin Khedekar). Viplav, who works for BSNL is deployed to Kashmir where he meets Aara (Samantha). Aara and her friend trick Viplav that they are Muslims. However, she is a Brahmin with a celebrity father, who is a strong believer in God. The rest of the story revolves around the conflict between the lead couple, and the conflict between the Atheist family and the religious family.

All his rough days at filming, this Shiva Nirvana directorial works into a bright one for us. It made us smile! There’s something undeniably heartwarming about watching Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu together in lead roles — you know what? It was the sense of familiarity they brought to the Telugu audiences! A fact that the leading pair got to know each other on the sets, but what we saw on-screen deeply embarks all of us on a romantic journey. We saw them rooting for a relationship!

The resounding musical is being heaped a lot — Hesham Wahab’s music music was a good move to just make us go I LOVE YOU. The combination of his tracks and the romance between the leading pair was match made in heaven for Telugu audiences! The couple was overcoming obstacles, and they found their happy ending. And when the second half begins, they continued to make each other feel special. That married romance was so visible! All-inclusive, the movie makes romance kind of its lifestyle only.

The beautiful picturising coming from the valley of Kashmir made the scenes so perfect, the audiences were mesmerized. The DOP perfectly defined the beauty of this gorgeous valley. There were so many flawless romantic scenes between them that made us go vale. Even for the actors it will always be near to their heart!

The comedy didn’t strike right. It’s a one-time watch and not that it came across as crass, just that you can only warm up to those entertaining scenes. Nothing else! What takes over is ofcourse, the transformative power of love in the scenic beauty of Kashmir. Both the stars showed a platonic relationship that can evolve overtime in two hours of the duration. The audiences went into something deeper and more meaningful with the leading cast!

The casting is another asset for the film, Murali Sharma Sachin, Saranya, Lakshmi, Vennela Kishore, Rohini, Jayaram, and all other character actors did well.
