ANALYSIS
Roti Kapada Romance is another addition to the list of youthful comedies in Telugu cinema. Director Vikram Reddy narrates the four boys’ stories in a humorous and entertaining way, primarily targeting the youth. The dialogues and language used are realistic, making the film relatable. The first half of the film focuses on the friends and their love stories, which are narrated separately but blend seamlessly together. The director showcases the friends’ camaraderie and their realistic portrayal of youth.
Of the four stories, Vikram’s love story is the most hilarious and entertaining one. The scenes between him and his father is also very interesting. Then comes RJ Surya and Divya’s episodes. The best part of the film is that all the actors performed well and they perfectly fit into their roles. Also, their comedy timing and punch dialogues match perfectly.
While the first half portrays love, the second half goes in a different way. The climax is pretty interesting. But as a first time director Vikram Reddy has done a tremendous job narrating a youthful entertainer with a message in the climax. Though there are a few flaws, curse words and weak points in the film, you still can watch this one.
PERFORMANCES
The cast, including Supraj Ranga, Harsha Narra, Sandeep Saroj, and Tarun, deliver impressive performances. The actresses, Sonu Thakur, Nuveksha, Megha Lekha and Khushboo Chaudhary, also play their parts well. Four music directors worked and they provided good music and background score. The cinematography is good. Though this is a small film, technically, the movie is looking very good. The dialogues are effective and some of them are punch ones and definitely get clapped.
VERDICT
Roti Kapada Romance is primarily aimed at the youth, and director Vikram Reddy successfully delivers a good film. Despite some loopholes, the film is entertaining and the director extracts good performances from the relatively new cast.
