Must read

RRR is going bigger and setting milestones even at the global level. SS Rajamouli’s directorial released in Japan on October 21 and the entire cast was present with director SS Rajamouli during the premiere.

Meanwhile, in the run-up to the Oscars, the film and its crew have been nominated for a slew of awards in the United States. RRR will very certainly make history at the Oscars in 2023. Prior to that, the film became a box office success in Japan.

RRR, which was just released in Japan, has grossed over 403 million (about Rs 24 crore) at the box office, making it the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

It took 24 years to break the record set by Superstar Rajinikanth’s Muthu, which was well embraced by the Japanese public. The RRR crew has also been delighted with the welcome they received in Japan.

People are travelling more than 100 kilometers to see the film in theatres and tweeting to the film’s crew.

The top three Indian films in Japan have to be RRR, Muthu, and Baahubali.

Two of these films have been directed by SS Rajamouli. The crew did not travel to Japan when Baahubali was launched, but this time, the complete RRR team was there for the film’s release there.

In fact, Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana, shared a lovely video of the couple in Japan following the film’s premiere on social media.
