Rs 100-cr plan to transform SDTIs Project will witness signing of MoUs with major industries

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has introduced a significant plan worth Rs 100 crore to improve skill development and training institutions. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will officially launch this initiative in Visakhapatnam, aiming to make a big difference in developing skills throughout the State.
As part of the ceremony, individuals who have undergone training in various fields will receive employment offer letters, showcasing the tangible outcomes of the skill development program.
The project will also witness the signing of memorandums of understanding with major industries, including KIA Motors, L&T, JSW, Samsung, UltraTech, Schneider Electric, Hyundai Steel, and Johnson Lifts and Escalators. These collaborations are poised to play pivotal roles in advancing skill development efforts.
The APSSDC, as a cornerstone of the State’s comprehensive plan, holds a critical role in generating a high-quality skilled workforce. Skill Development and Training Minister Buganna Rajendranath Reddy underscored the significance of skill development, stating, “Skill development is the cornerstone for unlocking the inherent potential of our youth. The AP skill development event demonstrates our constant commitment to providing high-quality training programs that empower individuals and catalyze economic growth in our state.”
The State government is actively modernizing its institutions to align with the latest technological advancements.
This collaborative effort with renowned industries aims to enhance the in-house infrastructure and human resources of ITIs, polytechnic colleges, skill colleges, and NAC Centres. The key objectives include modernizing 227 government institutions, aligning course content with industry standards, creating in-demand courses, and fostering increased partnerships with industries for Training of Trainers (TOT).
