The police have seized unaccounted for money to the tune of Rs 50 lakh while searching vehicles here on Saturday.
Searching the vehicles at the local Ambedkar X Roads here, the police seized Rs 50 lakh being transported in a car by one Ratnakar and seized the amount as he failed to show any reasons for the money.
Gajwel Commissioner of Police Anuradha asked the people not to carry more than Rs 50,000 at any time. If they were forced to take more money, they should keep documentary evidence with them, she said.
