YSRCP’s ‘Mega Samajika Sadhikara Yatra’ has created waves in Uttarandhra (North Andhra), witnessing record-breaking participation as it fervently progressed through the Vizag East Constituency today. The programme commenced with top leaders of the YSRCP including Ministers Pinnipe Vishwaroop, Seediri Appalaraju, Gudivada Amarnath, and MLAs Anil Kumar Yadav, Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, and Karanam Dharmasree paying tribute to the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, laying floral garlands at his statue in Arilova.
Thereafter, the leaders explored infrastructural developments under the Nadu-Nedu program at GVMC School in Totagaru. Moving ahead, the Yatra evolved into a rally, reaching the AS Raja College ground in MVP Colony, where a substantial crowd gathered for a public meeting.
Addressing the massive gathering, Animal Husbandry Minister Seediri Appalaraju focused on CM Jagan’s commitment to developing coastal areas, especially for fishermen. He highlighted Jagan’s development of 10 new fishing harbors and 4 new ports, contrasting it with Chandrababu’s lack of initiatives for the community. Appalaraju urged the public to consider the contrast between Chandrababu’s administration and Jagan’s regime, emphasizing the latter’s benefits for all deserving individuals. He also rallied for support for the establishment of Visakhapatnam as the state’s executive capital under CM Jagan’s rule, stating, ‘Visakhapatnam only got Independence under CM Jagan’s rule.’
Meanwhile, Government Whip Karanam Dharmasree cautioned people against giving the opposition TDP and Jana Sena leaders a chance, citing their unjust actions in Uttarandhra, which led to migration due to the high unemployment rate. He added, “Under TDP’s regime, injustice was done to the people of Uttar Andhra. People should be wary of providing any opportunity to those who haven’t fulfilled a single promise and backstabbed you over and over again.”
Lambasting the TDP government for prioritizing water allocation to liquor distilleries over providing essential drinking and cultivation water, MLC Vamsikrishna Srinivas reminded the people of how TDP legislators deceived them. He emphasized the AP government’s commitment to development while lambasting the TDP’s lack of foresight.Besides, Vishwaroop highlighted the stark differences between Chandrababu Naidu’s rule and CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s four-and-a-half-year governance. He detailed welfare initiatives, including a substantial increase in joint Andhra’s pension and significant loan waivers.
Vishwaroop praised Jagan’s transformative leadership and accused Chandrababu of failing to fulfill promises. He stressed the importance of making Jagan CM again to avoid suffering for marginalized communities. Denouncing the TDP govt for neglecting the needs of the poor & backward, Vishwaroop said, ‘Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet was not inclusive. It didn’t have anyone from backward classes, but under CM Jagan’s rule, he made us the Deputy Chief ministers!’
MLA Anil Kumar Yadav lauded CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership for fostering development in the state while concurrently ensuring the welfare of its people. Yadav emphasized the need to make Jagan the Chief Minister again, praising his bold decisions in allocating ministerial positions to backward classes, particularly the Yadav community, and stated, ‘Proud to live a dignified life under CM Jagan, or less we would have been laborers under the TDP’s rule. Yadav also warned the public about TDP leaders, cautioning against their history of betrayal and deception. He concluded his speech by expressing confidence in achieving the ambitious target of winning all ‘175/175 constituencies in the upcoming 2024 elections.
