On Wednesday, IMDb released a list of the ‘Most Anticipated Indian Movies of the Summer’, based on the actual page views of IMDb users in 2023 so far.
The list features a total of 10 movies, and surprisingly, four of them are related to the South Indian film industry. Prabhas’ mythological drama Adipurush, Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Chatrapathi, Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man and Naga Chaitanya’s Custody grabbed the 3rd, 5th, 9th and 10th places, respectively, in the list.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, directed by Atlee, topped the charts, followed by Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The other movies on the list are Gadar 2, Maidaan, Yodha and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. It is quite surprising to see that two direct Telugu movies also got a place in the list released by IMDb.
