Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy asked officials to extend cooperation so that comprehensive discussions can be held on all issues during the monsoon session beginning August 3.
The Speaker and Chairman held a meeting with officials of various departments on Tuesday. The Speaker asked officials to provide information sought by members as soon as possible. He also directed officials to send answers to questions pending during the last session.
The Speaker said that members would be ready for debates if officials provided information in Telugu, Urdu and English as soon as possible. He asked higher officials to be available till the session is over and to appoint nodal officers for all departments.
The Speaker asked officials to ensure that the House is run in a peaceful atmosphere.
Council Chairman Sukhender Reddy asked officials to ensure that there are no protocol issues for Council Members in districts as protocol issues were increasing there.
Legislative Affairs Minister Prashanth Reddy asked the Assembly Secretary to create a WhatsApp group and to see that are no communication gaps.
He asked the Assembly Secretary to prepare a new protocol draft as per the suggestions of the Speaker and Chairman instead of following the old protocol.
The Minister asked the police to ensure that there are no traffic problems so that Members can reach the Assembly in time.
