Split personality concept in Darling is fantastic: Nani

The excitement surrounding the upcoming Telugu romantic comedy, Darling, reached new heights at a star-studded pre-release event, signaling what many expect to be a major success in Telugu cinema. The event was graced by the presence of Natural Star Nani, who took center stage to endorse the film’s promising prospects.
Directed by Ashwin Ram and produced by Niranjan Reddy and Sreemathi Chaitanya under the banner of Prime Show Entertainment, Darling is creating significant buzz for its unique blend of romance and comedy. The film stars Priyadarshi in the lead role, with Nabhha Natesh as his co-star. The movie is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 19, and the pre-release event showcased the film’s grand vision and high expectations.
Nani highlighted a growing trend of action films in recent times, noting the refreshing return of comedy and love stories with Darling. He remarked, “Last year, I came with a love story and emotion in Hi Nanna. This year, Darshi is coming with a love story and comedy in Darling. This movie should be a big blockbuster.” Nani emphasised the importance of diverse genres and expressed his enthusiasm for Darshi’s choice of subjects, stating, “The split personality concept is fantastic. It’s like a ‘Lady Don’. If done right, it can generate a lot of laughter.”
He also shared his hopes for the film’s success, aligning it with the achievements of Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya’s previous project, Hanuman. “I hope that Niranjan sir and Chaitanya’s success with Hanuman will be replicated with Darling,” Nani said. He also commended the music of Vivek Sagar, noting his cult following and high expectations for another successful soundtrack.
Hero Priyadarshi, who stars in the film, also shared his thoughts at the event. Reflecting on his journey and inspiration, Priyadarshi said, “As a child, I was inspired to become an actor by watching Chiranjeevi garu. Now, Nani is my inspiration. For the current generation wanting to enter cinema without any background, Nani is a great inspiration.”
Priyadarshi expressed his gratitude for the support and collaboration he received, stating, “I have found a brother in Ashwin. With Darling, Telugu cinema is adopting Ashwin. I have learned a lot from him.” He also thanked the film’s entire team, including Vivek Sagar and others, for their contributions.
