Sridevi, Laxmi Tanuja runners-up at State Masters Badminton Championship

Spouses of Railway Officials had a dream run in the AP State Masters Badminton Championship Tournament held at Rajahmundry. D Sridevi, vice-president, SCRWWO, Vijayawada Division ,wife of Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Infrastructure, Vijayawada Division and  Laxmi Tanuja, Srinivasa Rao Prasada Rao, Sr. DEE, Maintenance, Secunderabad Division, bagged the runners up position at Badminton Championship in Women’s Doubles in 40+ age group. The open tournament was held at Rajahmundry February 16-18 under the auspices of the Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association.
D Sridevi and Laxmi Tanuja took part in the open competition and were undefeated in the prelims league and semi final matches in the Women’s Doubles (40+ years) segment. In the final both of them lost to Smt. M Subashini and Smt. P Ushasree after a long drawn battle.
Narendra A Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada, SCR, congratulated D. Sridevi, vice-President, SCRWWO, Vijayawada Division and Smt. Laxmi Tanuja for securing the second place and proving their mettle in the Badminton Championship Open Tournament.
