Ticket aspirant writes Chandrababu’s name in blood

Must read

Former MLC and senior TDP leader Buddha Venkateswara Rao, also known as Venkanna,  organised an innovative programme at his residence in Vijayawada’s one-town area on Sunday to express his desire to contest from Vijayawada West Assembly constituency. On the occasion, he donated his blood and filled it in a bottle. Afterwards, he wrote the words ‘CBN Zindabad – Naa Pranam Meere’ on the wall in blood. He also erected a flex of former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing the media later, he opined that Chandrababu Naidu should learn certain facts, which was his motive behind conducting the programme. He also alleged that Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas had interfered in the matters of Vijayawada West and attempted to appoint a different leader as the constituency in-charge instead of him.
Nevertheless, Chandrababu Naidu appointed him as TDP Vijayawada Urban president and he served in that role for six years, he added. He stated that he had obstructed the ruling YSRCP when its leaders raided Chandrababu Naidu’s residence. Additionally, he brought up the incident in which Minister Jogi Ramesh attempted to stage a protest at Chandrababu’s house when he was an MLA.
He clarified that his programme is a ‘goodwill gesture’, not an act of blackmail. “It was my humble request for a ticket from Vijayawada West constituency. I request the party leadership to allow me to enter the Assembly,” he said. He also mentioned that he is loyal to Chandrababu’s family.
