‘Steps apace for better facilities in residential colonies

District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh said that special arrangements are being made to augment facilities in the residential colonies. The Collector, along with MLA Puppala Vasubabu, inaugurated a bailey bridge, constructed at a cost of Rs 46.70 lakh at Gundugolanu village on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vasu babu said that the Bailey bridge was constructed as the old bridge collapsed. Later, the Collector, along with the MLA, visited the Jagananna housing colony. Housing AE CH Satish explained to the Collector that 308 houses had been constructed out of the sanctioned 731 houses in the colony.

The MLA brought to the attention of the Collector the construction of roads in the colony, and the Collector assured that steps would be taken to construct the roads.

Collector Prasanna Venkatesh inspected the quality of the construction of houses in the colonies and expressed his satisfaction. MLA Vasu babu interacted with the colony dwellers and knew their problems. Electricity, water, and roads were provided to the colony, the dwellers told them. Later, the Collector inspected the construction material and examined the quality.

Agriculture Advisory Council Chairman Vejju Venkateswara Rao, APSRTC Chairman Kanumuri Subbaraju, Dwaraka Tirumala Trust Board Members Satyanarayana Raju, Mudundi Suryanarayanaraju, Mandal level People’s Representatives, Villager’s R&B SE G.V. Bhaskara Rao and DE M Govinda Mohan were among those who were present.
