Stone laid for Rajashyamala temple at Kokapet

The President of Visakha Sri Saradapeeth Swarupanandendra Saraswati Swami,said that a temple doesn’t belong to any particular person but all the devotees are involved.

The foundation stone for the Rajashyamala Ammavari temple in Kokapet, Hyderabad, was laid on Sunday. The temple is set to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore and will showcase the sculptural skills of the Kakatiyas.

During the foundation stone-laying ceremony, Swarupanandendra Swamy stated that Telangana’s progress is only possible with the grace of Goddess Rajashyamala. He also spoke about the good intentions of Telangana’s Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in allocating two acres of land for the Peetham with the aim of empowering Rajashyamala women. He emphasised that KCR wished to see the development of not only Hyderabad but also other parts of Telangana state.

He further clarified that although Visakha Sri Sharadapeeth does not have financial resources, it is undertaking many social welfare programmes with the help of Rajashyamala Upasana. Rajashyamala is known to be the most powerful Goddesses in Kali yuga, and many great people, including former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, have been worshippers of Rajashyamala.

Swarupanandendra Swamy urged for the participation of all devotees in the construction of the Rajashyamala temple, stating that the Ammavaru belongs to all.

 The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by many prominent figures, including MLC Subhash Reddy, MLA Satish Kumar, former Rajya Sabha member Captain Lakshmi Kantha Rao and Telangana RTC Chairman VC Sajjanar. Holy waters from the Ganges, Alakananda, and Bhagiradha rivers were used during the ceremony.
