TS Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu’s office personnel conducted an emergency meeting at 7.30 pm on Wednesday in the Speaker’s office in the Legislative Assembly in the presence of Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy and Legislative Assembly Protem Speaker Akbaruddin Owaisi. The meeting was held in the context of security breach earlier in the Lok Sabha. At this meeting, held at the behest of the Protem Speaker, the misdeeds of the bystanders were strongly condemned.
A review was conducted under the supervision of the Protem Speaker on the security measures to be taken to prevent such incidents from happening at this time when the Legislative Assembly is in session.
Police officials have been instructed to strictly implement three-tier security measures for the smooth conduct of legislative sessions. The Protem Speaker directed the authorities concerned to check each one thoroughly. It has been decided to stop the issuance of all types of passes except those already issued. The Chairman of the Council, Protem Speaker of the Legislature, Minister of Legislative Affairs, DGP, Police Commissioner of Hyderabad and top police officers were present at the meeting.
