Sunitha diverting attention from her family: Sajjala

Must read

VIJAYAWADA: YSRCP general secretary and Government Advisor on Public Affairs, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, has criticised Sunitha, the daughter of the late YS Vivekananda Reddy, for allegedly targeting Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Addressing the media in Vijayawada on Friday, Sajjala questioned why Sunitha was not directing her inquiries towards TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, who was in power when Vivekananda Reddy was murdered. He accused Sunitha of aligning herself with the TDP and engaging in political vendetta ahead of the general elections. Sajjala asserted that Sunitha’s actions were an attempt to deflect attention from suspicions that her family members might have been involved in Vivekananda Reddy’s murder.
Sajjala further suggested that individuals like B Tech Ravi or Adinarayana Reddy, who had defected from the YSRCP, might have had motives to harm Vivekananda Reddy, citing past tensions between them. He emphasised Vivekananda Reddy’s active involvement in campaigning for the YSRCP during the 2019 elections, underscoring his dedication to the party.
Regarding the investigation into Vivekananda Reddy’s murder, Sajjala questioned why Chandrababu Naidu’s government, which was in power at the time of the incident, had not made significant progress in resolving the case. He criticized Sunitha’s recent press conference in Delhi as a politically motivated move orchestrated by Chandrababu Naidu to use her as a pawn in the upcoming elections.
Turning his attention to JSP chief Pawan Kalyan, Sajjala accused him of overestimating his party’s electoral performance and suggested that the JSP was merely a tool of the TDP. He predicted that both the TDP and JSP would face defeat in the 2024 elections.
Sajjala also criticised Chandrababu Naidu’s alliance-building efforts, alleging that he was willing to collaborate with individuals who had left the YSRCP, whom he described as “smugglers and gangsters.” He claimed that Chandrababu Naidu’s attempts to ally with the BJP were driven by a desire to regain power.

Regarding the internal dynamics of the JSP, Sajjala highlighted the party’s lack of organizational structure and financial resources, noting that several constituencies where the JSP had previously performed well had been captured by the TDP. He criticised Pawan Kalyan for failing to allocate constituencies efficiently and accused him of being influenced by Chandrababu Naidu’s agenda.

Sajjala urged Pawan Kalyan to demonstrate a more serious commitment to politics by taking responsibility for all 175 constituencies and avoiding scripted appearances dictated by Chandrababu Naidu. He reiterated the YSRCP’s assertion that the JSP was essentially a front for the TDP’s interests.
