The Telugu Desam party activists, led by Daacharla Janardhan, organised ‘Idemi Kharma Mana Rashtraniki’ and took out a rally at Kottapatnam here on Wednesday.
The TDP activists holding flexi banners took out a rally. Large number of TDP activists assembled at the Buckingham bridge and interacted with the passengers, auto rickshaw drivers and bus drivers.
Speaking on the occasion, Damacharla Janardhan said that during the regime of TDP, 80% of Buckingham canal works had been completed by spending Rs 14 crore. But the YSRCP led government had failed in completing the 20 percent works of the bridge during the last four years.
Janardhan claimed that a lot of development had taken place in the Kottapatnam mandal when he was the MLA of the constituency. He said that Rs 45 crore sanctioned for the construction of 8 major bridges in the constituency of which the construction of 7 bridges was completed by 2019.
