The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is coming up with a new strategy to know the problems faced by the farmers across the State and address their issues after coming to power in the coming 2024 elections. The TDP has decided to interact with 52 lakh families across 26 districts in the State to know their difficulties and accordingly include them in the TDP election manifesto.
For the mass contact programme, all the TDP will participate in ‘Idhemi Kharma Rashtraniki’ for 45 days and will conduct ‘Rachabanda’ in every village. Interestingly, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh is launching ‘padayatra’ on January 27 next year and this mass contact programme is a prelude to the scheduled Walkathon preparing a suitable ground.
Opposition TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu hired political strategist Robin Sharma to work for a win for TDP in the elections and the team was already working for the party. Naidu officially introduced Robin Sharma in the recently held party meeting and announced the ‘Idhemi Kharma- Rashtraniki’ programme. Robin Sharma and his team put ‘Idhemi Kharma’ name to the programme but it was changed to ‘Idhemi Kharma Rashtraniki’ at the suggestion of senior leader Ch Ayyanna Patrudu.
According to the party sources, the mass contact programme will start on December 1 and will be conducted till January 15 preparing all needed ground for Lokesh’s Padayatra. Naidu himself will participate in the programme in 25 Assembly constituencies. The TDP launched the ‘Badude Baadudu’ protest programme under which Naidu and other leaders were conducting road shows, meetings and dharnas but it is not yielding the expected results in every place.
It may be recalled that the ruling YSRC was conducting Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam mass contact programme under which MLAs were visiting every house, taking grievances and resolving them officially which was damaging the ‘Badude Badudu’ programme spirit.
