‘TDP trying to disturb peace and harmony’

YSRC MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy has said that there was no development in Palnadu during Chandrababu Naidu’s rule. “TDP hatched plans and created disturbances in Palnadu by carrying out attacks on Vadderajulu (Vaddera) community,” he alleged.

The MLA said that the YSRC government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy established Palnadu district and developed Macherla and Gurzala constituencies at Rs 4,700 crore, to turn it into a ‘faction free’ district.

Speaking to media persons on Sunday, MLA Mahesh Reddy alleged that TDP was responsible for the disturbances in Macherla. He pointed out that Naxalism, factionalism and illegal mining flourished in Palnadu during the TDP rule. Thousands of crores rupees was looted.

He stated that TDP Macherla in-charge Julakanti Brahma Reddy was the first accused in the brutal murder case of seven people and even now there were conflicts in Palnadu because of Brahma Reddy.

The Macharla MLA said that for the past 40 months, CM Jagan had been developing Palnadu on par with Pulivendula. He alleged that TDP leaders were creating anarchy in the Palnadu region.

Palnadu was looted between 1999-2004 and again between 2014-2019 during Chandrababu’s regime. Chaos and anarchy prevailed then. TDP is repeating the same now.

The MLA said that Julakanti Brahma Reddy’s mother was the MLA then. “Misusing power, Brahma Reddy brutally murdered seven of his relatives, who were members of the Congress party. He is accused number one in that case. As TDP was repeatedly defeated in the Macherla Assembly seat, Brahma Reddy migrated to Guntur. He has come back to create disturbances,” he said. “Chalama Reddy was in charge of TDP after that, and later Anji Reddy. There were no quarrels or clashes during those periods. Once Brahma Reddy was appointed in-charge, the situation changed,” he added.

Mahesh Reddy said that attacks were being carried out by TDP targeting Vaderajas (Vaddera community). He explained that in 1983, when NT Rama Rao formed TD, Vadderajulu joined that party and continued to support it. But in the 2019 elections, almost 70 percent of them voted for YSRC. Along with Macherla Municipal Chairman, Vadderajula Corporation, Guntur Market Yard Chairman, Macharla Municipal Chairman, Piduguralla Market Yard Chairman, Vadarajulas got many posts. He alleged that to suppress the Vaddera community, Naidu hatched criminal plans and carried out attacks on Vadderas, who were BCs.
