Only 30% of BRS investments grounded Rs 3K crore subsidy due: Sridhar Babu

- State IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu launched criticism against the BRS government and said that only 30 per cent of investments were grounded finally. He said that only GCCs which were there expanded and also pointed out the BRS’s failure to release Rs 3,700 crore in subsidies sanctioned for SC/ST entrepreneurs over the past decade. He assured that the new MSME policy, set to be introduced within weeks, would address these issues and provide much-needed support to the affected entrepreneurs. He said that a new industrial policy will be created. On the controversy over Swacch Bio, Telangana Industries Minister said, though Swachh Bio has been recently incorporated, its international partner Suganit Biorenewables, has developed a patented and viable technology in producing biofuels and biochemicals from biomass and cellulose which would add to the Telangana government’s efforts towards a sustainable and eco-friendly growth of the State.
