Toilet complex at Nunna ZPHS to be opened on November 18

The Rotary Club of Vijayawada has constructed a toilet complex on the premises of ZPH School at Nunna near Vijayawada, spending Rs.32.30 lakh under its humanitarian project. Rotary governor AKS Bhaskar Ram Viswanatham and NTR District Educational Officer (DEO) CV Renuka will inaugurate the toilet complex on November 18.

Rotary Club of Vijayawada Project Committee lead and primary contact K Chanti Raju said here on Tuesday that the club and the Global Grant Project of the Rotary Foundation jointly constructed the school toilet building. Over 700 students are studying in the Nunna ZPH School, of which 394 are girls. Also, there are 40 teaching and non-teaching staff, he said.

He further said that the Rotary Club of Vijayawada, Rotary International District 3020 (DDF), International Sponsors (USA) such as the Rotary Club of Lanier-Forsyth, Rotary Club of South Forsyth County, Rotary Club of Forsyth County (Cumming), Rotary Club of North Forsyth-400 and Rotary International District 6910 (DDF) have sponsored funds for the construction of the complex. Also, the Global Grant Project of the Rotary Foundation (TRF) has sanctioned a matching grant for the project, he added.

The focus of the project is on providing quality water and sanitation facilities. Rotary Club of Vijayawada chairman Dr. MC Das and others will participate in the inaugural function, he said.
