For conserving water for the future generations, the government has started a training programme for plumbing technicians on installation and maintenance of rain water harvesting structures (RWHS) on April 22. The programme will be continued on April 24 and 25.
As part of the programme, under the direction of GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose, plumbing workers and masons were trained on Monday at GHMC headquarters, on preventing water problems in the city, appropriate solutions, rainwater conservation and precautions to be taken to increase groundwater levels.
This is a collaborative effort involving various departments of Telangana, including EFS&T, HMWSSB, GHMC, MAUD, CDMA, Irrigation, PR&RD, Â Horticulture, and Groundwater and TSPCB being undertaken to address water conservation as one of the verticals of Climate Action for Summer 2024.
