TRIED TO HANG HIMSELF AFTER SEEING FILM ON BHAGAT SINGH

I recall going to see an action movie in which actor Manoj Kumar played Bhagat Singh! As a youngster, I was deeply influenced by the film and I thought that being hanged and dying for my country would be great. Upon returning home, I took my mother’s chunni and wore it around my neck. As I was about to leap out of the chair, my mother intervened and stopped me, though by then I had nearly choked myself. She thrashed me, aghast at how incredibly mischievous I was!
