Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said that Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya hurt the people of Telangana with his white lies on the bulk drug park in the Lok Sabha. On Friday, in a written reply Mansukh said that the Central Government had no proposal to expand the scheme for promoting bulk drug parks in some States including Telangana. But in the oral reply Mansukh had said that Rs 1,000 crore has been approved for a bulk drug park in Hyderabad.
Apart from Hyderabad, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh got bulk drug parks approved and initially, Rs 300 crore was given to them. These contradictory replies by the Central Government led to BRS leaders venting their ire on the Union Minister.
Minister KT Rama Rao said, “Such a big lie. You have made Telangana sad. By denying the bulk drug park to India’s pre-eminent life-sciences hub, you’ve done a great disservice to the nation. It’s a pity that for the ‘NPA’ government political considerations outweigh national interests.” In a tweet, KTR said, “The Minister had not only misled the people of Telangana with his white lies but also Parliament.
